 RBI Pulls out Rs 2,000 Cash Notes From Flow


The RBI said the trading of Rs 2,000 banknotes into banknotes of different categories can be made upto a constraint of Rs 20,000 all at once at any bank beginning from May 23 2023.


The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday gave a notification saying Rs 2000 money note will be removed from dissemination yet it will keep on being legitimate delicate. The national bank likewise encouraged the banks to quit giving Rs 2,000 category banknotes with prompt impact.


All banks shall provide deposit and/or exchange facility for Rs 2000 banknotes until September 30, 2023,” the RBI said.


 Notwithstanding, the RBI said the banknote will keep on being legitimate delicate.
